How could my parents possibly be Republicans?

My parents have always struggled a bit financially. No college education who have had pretty crappy job with 4 children to keep things have always been tight. Blue collar all the way. How can it be that both are Republicans complete and total? They do not want universal health care, even though they have health care themselves rather pathetic. Would not it be logical that liberal considering how the type of the Democratic Party of "pulls" the working class? Thoughts? Well .. I do not see how this became to be I ... un-american? Or not to have "pride." Honestly, my own personal political beliefs have nothing to do with my question.

Parents often become more mature, have more wisdom, and have more life experience, their children. Republicans support tax cuts, which could help parents so that you do not pay much in taxes as they would a Democratic president.
