What is the best way to control urine odor pet rat?

I just bought two male rats from yesterday, and wow, did not realize how strong The smell of urine in reality. I never owned rats before, so I'm new to this. An employee of the pet store told me to use the bedding they use, for what I do, but obviously not help. Can anyone let me know from experience what you do in your pet rats about logging in the smell? Thanks.
