Nylon Leash

Retractable dog leash or nylon? And leading soft, flat collar or choke chain. Which 2 go together better?

I have a lab and need to know what are the best, 1 in each group: choke chain, collar or gentle leader and flat, strap or belt extending normal? It's like 70 pounds and I'm like 59 pounds so you have control over me, unknown to the reverse.
