What episodes of Lost should I watch before the last one ?

I only watched maybe 2 or 3 episodes. If I watch the last episode will I understand it ?

What episodes can I watch to understand the last episode ?

Are their any retrospective episodes that explain each season ?

Will they edit all seasons into one movie ?

No if you watch the last episode you will not be able to understand it. My mom tried, but got so bored she had to stop watching. The finale is mostly about wrapping up the character development, so that huge chunk would make no sense and be pretty boring.

To FULLY understand the finale would mean watching every single other episode, which I do suggest doing. It truely is a great show and clearly you're showing some interest in it so why not begin watching? What's the point of watching the finale if you're not going to watch the series you know?

If you are going to take that path, check hulu.com for summaries and itunes. I'm pretty sure itunes has a few free summaries, or they did a month or two ago. Also, there was a two hour retrospective right before the finale, which would be good to watch too.

No they will not edit all the seasons into the movie, that would be impossible.

All of the episodes are on hulu or the abc website if you have the time I'd suggest you watch it, it's great.
