What kind of sofa you would pay for an avid scraper (cat)?

Fabric or leather? Also, can anyone recommend an item zero deterrent is safe for furniture? I know what you mean, as the vegan diet I can not believe I'm even considering leather., But my cat too like urinating where they should not and can not happen. She is so adorable. No, really she is, but she makes me mad.
