Are these sentences I wrote in spanish correcto? PLEASE HELP!?

1. I was born in Cleveland, Ohio.
= Yo naci en Cleveland, Ohio.

2. I learned to walk.
= Yo estudie a caminar.

3. We moved to Palestine.
= Nos mudamos a la Palestine.

4. I got my first pet ever, Felix.
= Yo recibi una gato - Felix!

5. Felix passed away!
= Felix murio.

6. I went to Jericho with my friends.
= Yo paso el rato con amigos en Jericho.

7. I moved to Saint Louis, Missouri.
= Nos mudamos a la Saint Louis, Missouri.

8. My first day at Mehlville High School.
= I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ONE!

9. I saw Destiny's Child in a concert.
= Yo vi' Destiny's Child en a concierto.

10. I was announced corresponding secretary (or you could just say officer) of National Honors Society in Mehlville High School.
= ???

11. I volunteered at Jefferson Barracks VA.
= Yo ofreci' en el Jefferson Barracks VA.

1. Correct--but don't forget the accent in nací
2. Yo aprendí a caminar.
3. Nos mudamos a Palestina. You don't always use the article when speaking of a country...it really depends on the country. I wouldn't mark la Palestina wrong, but when I say it, I definitely don't say "la". Also, thank you for not confusing mudarse y moverse like the person above! You have it correct!
4. Yo recibí a un gato, Felix--la única mascota que he tenido. Animate objects receive an "a" when they're the direct object.
5. Don't forget the accent
6. Yo fui a Jericho con mis amigos.
7. Me mudé a St. Louis, Missouri. City names don't receive an article unless it's built into the name--"La Habana, Cuba"
8. Mi primer día a Mehlville High School. Remember that even though día looks feminine, it's a masculine now.
9. Were you elected to this position? Fui elegido secretario (or secretaria if you're a female) de National Honors Society a Mehlville High School. (I, personally, wouldn't translate NHS.)
10. Fui voluntario en Jefferson Barracks, VA.
